Village Hall

Grendon Village Hall is a registered charity which provides and maintains the hall for use by all sections of the local community. Over the last couple of years, the Management Committee (who are trustees of the charity) have made considerable improvements to the fabric and decor of the hall and further improvements are planned for the next 12 months.

Classes and other weekly events which currently take place in the hall are as follows:-

Monday afternoons Yoga
Tuesday mornings Crafts
Wednesday 10am-2pm Upholstery
Thursday 10am-12pm Oil Painting
Thursday 7.30-9.30pm Oil Painting

In addition the following events are held on a monthly basis:-

1st Monday of each month W.I. meeting
2nd Tuesday of each month Age concern lunch

The hall is also available for hire and the current rates are as follows:-

Children's Parties £20.00
Private Party £35.00
(disco, reception etc)
Village Association £28.00
( e.g. fund raising event)
Classes/Meetings £12.00
( 2 hrs max session)

Bookings to be made through June York.

Please note that as a result of new legislation, anyone hiring the hall for an event which involves the sale of alcohol, will need to apply for a temporary event licence. The hall has its own premises licence.

The Management Committee organise a number of fundraising events during the year and the profits from these are used for the upkeep of the hall. As we receive no form of grants or local authority support we are entirely dependant upon the profits from such events and the income from hiring out the hall to cover running costs.
