Mobiles shops, nearest shops
Unfortunately the village shop closed in early 2004. There are however 2 mobile shops that visit Grendon and a mobile library. The nearest Newsagent is in Yardley Hastings and will deliver newspapers in Grendon.
- On Tuesday morning a mobile greengrocer (The Veggie-man) parks in Main Road at around 10.30.
Butchers Van
- On Wednesday morning a mobile butcher can often be found outside Jack Underwood's house in Manor Road at around 9 am.
Library Lorry
Each mobile is fitted with a lift for disabled people and there is a programme to fit induction loops for people with hearing impairment.
It is free to join and there are no forms to fill out. The mobile libraries have a wide range of books, large print books, audio books. Using our web pages you can look under a place name and see if a mobile library visits there.
It stops in the village on Thursdays every three weeks (for enquiries contact 01933 225365) at two locations;
