Mobiles shops, nearest shops

Unfortunately the village shop closed in early 2004. There are however 2 mobile shops that visit Grendon and a mobile library. The nearest Newsagent is in Yardley Hastings and will deliver newspapers in Grendon.

Tony at the Half Moon is investigating the opening of some sort of shop in the old barns at the pub.

The Veggie-man who used to deliver on Tuesday morning has retired due to ill health and this service has now been lost.

Library Lorry

Each mobile is fitted with a lift for disabled people and there is a programme to fit induction loops for people with hearing impairment.

It is free to join and there are no forms to fill out. The mobile libraries have a wide range of books, large print books, audio books. Using our web pages you can look under a place name and see if a mobile library visits there.

It stops in the village on Thursdays every three weeks (for enquiries contact 01933 225365) at two locations;

Parsons Close 3:10 - 3:25
Sweetacre Close 3:30 - 3:50

Newsagent

The nearest are in Yardley Hastings,Wollaston or Irchester. The Post Office in Irchester does a daily to door delivery - please contact Mr Braich for further details.
